@MrShingalooFilms How would it be fairer just cuz they used the same phone?
@JoshLeyvaVlogs This is advertising their product, what did you expect?
Voice Ask , the new app launched works perfect on all iPhones, iPods and iPads.The app is having the best voice recognition and knowledge base.Check it @ voiceask(dot)com
This wasnt a fair test, yeah Vlingo can do some things that Siri can't but Siri can also do things that vlingo can't. You Already knew that Siri can't open applications or post so social networks. Try to show the good and bad of each next time.
Well this is obviously rigged. Why don't they show anything but what Siri can't do. What about the things Siri does better? They wouldn't dare put those in, would they? Of course not. And why would I navigate to the Vlingo app to open another app. Why not just open the app?
what phone is that on the left?
@mrc2d22 so is your personality
You cant open third paty apps on iphone with vlingo, It would be fairer if you tried siri vs vlingo on iphone
FAKE!

I asked both "How much is an 18% tip on $47.95?" Vlingo opened that question in Google. Siri gave me the correct amount, $8.63, and added up the bill to be $56.58.
I think that Vlingo is a fine app that expects some pretty specific text. Can you give us some examples to test where you can speak plain text, and then follow up on it? The Siri example is "What's the weather today in Denver?" followed by "How about tomorrow?", or "Is it gonna snow today?" Vlingo pulls up the question in Google.
Your questions were obviously slanted heavily towards Vlingo's strengths, which (at this time) are that it is open to third party apps. You asked for what strengths Siri might have. I'll give you some good thoughts. First, in playing with Vlingo, it's obvious that its vocabulary is not very advanced. You can speak specific phrases and Vlingo works just fine. Can it do much beyond open specific apps or search Google? (continued)
Does vlingo blackberry have all the same features as the vlingo android?
@gkaro94
yeah but what about other languages? Russian? Hebrew? Etc.
@rostytosty Vlingo support Spanish
can you allow the third party app opening if you put Vlingo in Cydia on iOS?
will vlingo ever support other languages?
@oddpiranha feel free to elaborate on the good points. And please focus on the items where Siri outperforms Vlingo. Personally, what annoys me, is all these people running around touting Siri as revolutionary. I've been talking to my phone for well over a year. And if you go through this series of videos, you will see just how far behind Apple is on this. In fact I've had MULTIPLE options in the creative and competitive Android environment.
Both Siri and Vlingo are not the greatest ... yet. I've had more luck with Vlingo vs. Siri - but they are both pretty much novelties at this point.
@hughfraserlarne and @oddpiranha Check out the other videos on our channel. We look at a bunch of other functions, too. Some of which the two handle the same, some of which Siri does better than Vlingo. But there are also some instances where Vlingo goes beyond Siri, and social and 3rd party apps are two of those areas.
agree with oddpiranha, for one thing, siri is still in beta form
This really annoys me your just focusing on siri's bad points and vlingos good points its completely unfair
I use Vlingo on my BB Torch and it does not open many of the apps instead it'll search "open *insert app name*" . I do wish you could improve the BB version! Other than that it is a pretty decent app.
so glad I switched to android! best decision I ever made!
