The D7000 has 1080p too, the tilty-swively screen isn't necessary, HDR is crap and the D7000 still has bracketing, night vision? Are you fucking kidding? You know nothing about cameras. Does it have a weather proof magnesium alloy body? Does it have two SD card slots? Does it have a top LCD screen? Does it have an AF motor? Does it have 39 AF points? Does it have two control dials? It doesn't have any of that! Also, the D7000 doesn't have a ton of effects for kids. The D7000 is a serious DSLR.

@Sensui01 true the d5100 is a fine camera (Nikon don't make any rubbish DSLR camera's) The d5100 is similar to the Canon 600d ..As you said a "More bangs for your buck's camera"

i think d5100 is more of a bang for the buck camera than d7000. d7000 is for more experienced photographers while the d5100 is more for the starters. so if you are watching this and you are planning on buying a camera and have little to no idea of what would you buy, i think this video is ok.

You keep telling yourself that the D5100 is better than the D7000...Tell yourself it enough times and you will start to kid YOURSELF... That it is a better camera.

If I am really into movies I buy a Canon EOS600D
U can get 'HDR' with ANY still or video camera just by shooting @ a lower exposure & then using an 'S' shaped brightness curve in editing. I prefer 1 that is like a 'double spoon' shape, so the mids R all accurate. This keeps all the highlights & lows, but enhances the detail so nothing is washed out or 2 shadowy =)
Sorry for panicing. Just found out that PAL has the maximum of 25fps. I live in europe so i must use PAL and be happy with my 25fps
PLEASE READ! My D5100 has maximum of 25fps in all resolutions, wheres my 30fps??

Yet another reason is weight. The D7000 is a lot heavier. I had a D5000 and sold it to buy the D7000. Then the 5100 came out. Timing is everything, but then again the weight of the D7000 helps stabilize it for shooting and it feels more like a "pro" camera.
