@Logansmommy118 Yes it does take the original EN-EL14 batteries.
does it take the original batteries? some ive seen need different batteries.
@NO0Bstatus so far it just goes as fast as the normal.
@wa7oosh3 no, because thats already in your camera. only shooting at 4fps for pictures and 30fps on video.
@dyusko18 yes i will, and i apologize for not replying sooner i forgot my password and couldn't access my account.
@asdf1234hao so you leave the camera on, take both batteries out then put one battery in then the next, that works for me.
do you notice any shutter delay when using the vertical shutter button? or does it go just as fast as he normal shutter button
has the FPS increased after you added the battery grip?
damn! 26 dollars for this? thats a steal! even if it isnt the most amazing product, it serves it s purpose well and its cheap! nice review and thanks for the reccomendation. deffinately gonna be picking this up.
Nice review man. can you do a review of that flash too? Thanks
how did you get the message to go away?
@RAZ31006 oh and it's me beavezy1, i'm just using my brother's account.
@RAZ31006 it should work just fine with one battery only, i have used mine with one battery only before and i haven't had any problems with it, try putting the battery in any of the slots of the grip but with the grip off the camera then put the grip in the camera maybe that might work or try to switch from one slot to the other. it should work fine. or the other thing you could try is putting two batteries in to see if the grip actually works.
@Beavezy1 hey man I just bought this grip on you're recommendation but Im having an issue. Do you know if the shutter button will only work with two battery's in it or does it work with one also? Because mine is not working. So I was wondering if it was because I only have one battery. I would appreciate your response.
@Beavezy1 ah all right, we were on the same boat then. I only asked because your flash actually has neewer on it so I assumed they would also have their own brand battery grip since it was being sold under their name. BTW when are you doing that flash review, I'm thinking of buying the same one as well. I need another flash with my nikon one. Thanks.
@YouCanReadGoodJob actually, no it was not a Neewer box, it had another brand name, which at first did worry me but when i saw it worked fine i didn't care at the end.
@EpicChrisOFC yeah true, it is not the best plastic and having the cable stick out like that or just having to use the cable is not so fun, but i got it for the extra battery life and i'm quite happy with it. i do use the side shutter button but not as often so it's all good for me.
It's not really a good grip, I mean just the shutter release button and a cable... Cheap plastic too, but if you really need the vertical button and double up the battery life, it's ok.
Was the box that the grip was in actually a Neewer box? The box I received was not a Neewer box.
@Beavezy1 yes a review would be great! I'd like to see one if you get the time!
@SqualoSurf20 Well i'm quite happy with it, and it has options to how much power you want to use, it also has three modes: M, S1 & S2. M is for manual and this work's with it on your body, and S1 is for the internal flash to work as remote to fire the speedlight together when not on body, S2 is when you have several speedlights and you set one as S1 and rest as S2, and i know there is not much reviews but i'll do a review soon, meanwhile i'll try my best to answer all your questions.
Does the flash work pretty well? I was looking at that one but don't see many reviews.
@Lukesman5853 youre welcome =), yeah true it is kind of ugly, it's for the shutter button on the battery grip since it's not an authentic battery grip from nikon it cannot function completely with the camera, so here's where the wire on the side comes in, you plug it in so you can be able to use the shutter button on the right bottom side of the grip that allow's you to take pictures while holding the camera vertically, hope this helps =)
hey. thanks for the review.. but what's the extra wire for the side for? it's kinda.. ugly.
