I've done the jailbreak but the instant you want to download something from Cydia, the iPhone wants to reboot and then never reboots. This doesn't work.
when i download 4.2.9 it comes up as a folder not as a cube can somebody please help me. If you know what i should do please email me at thy24@att.net

Uhh.. you might want to add somewhere that once you jailbreak a Verizon iPhone on 4.2.10 to never restart or let the device's battery die. For some reason booting tethered doesn't work. iTunes will still recognize it as working, but the device will be stuck at the pineapple logo until you get it stuck in restore mode for force it in or put it in DFU mode again and restore.
@ZachLiggins I had the same issue a long time ago but then I stopped being a derp and tried pointing redsn0w at 4.2.8 while my device was on 4.2.10 and it worked just fine. Although, that doesn't matter anymore since on redsn0w 0.9.8b7 they had modified it to allow you to point it at 4.2.10.
i am tired of all these fucking videos. hey jailbreak redsn0w but it says ipsw is unidentifyed so fuck you ipsw says iphone 3 4.2.9

@koharry1129 If your stuck on the apple logo try to hard reset by holding the home and power button until it restarts and if it doesnt work then hold the home + power button until the screen shuts off then let go immediately and then hold the home button and connect your iphone to your computer and restore
@alfredo102896 yeah it does, how do i fix it, it wont restart it just gets stuck on the apples symbol.
@iPodhacks142 ok well i did that and it work, i got cydia and everything was working fine untill i dowloaded sbsettings and it asked me to reboot, now its either stuck on the apple or on the pinapple.
idk how to get it to reboot
any ideas?
@koharry1129 You have to download the 4.2.9 firmware and be running 4.2.10, when it asks you to browse for the ipsw file you have to select the 4.2.9 firmware
if i have the 4.2.10 firmware, will this work? and i cannot downgrad using tiny ubrella.

Was a jailbreak for Verizon IPhone 4 version 4.2.5 ever released? That is what i'm currently running and the only things I can find are either for 4.2.6 or 4.2.1. I could update to the latest version (which i believe is 5.0.1). but I would rather not because I hate having to put all my media back on. Please reply!
