Screening out the Canon T2i on the HAGUE MMC - Mini Motion-Cam Stabilizer. (Steadicam) This is my first time using this steadicam with my DSLR. The Hague is easy to setup and run and the final results are nice for the value of this stablizer. The key is getting it well-balanced and then your good to go! Hi, I'm new on on this photography, mind if I ask? I'm using Canon EOS 1000D, and I was wondering how and where is the shutter? I'm trying to do light painting, but didn't works. Please help.
thanks
is it possible to change the settings for filming? if so, is this how you do it?
@specificlyvague shutter speed should be double frame rate.60fps=120 shutter speed
thank you very helpful
THANK YOU!!! This was such a big help! I read the manual but I kept on forgetting what I read and always end up lost when I want to change the settings. Thanks!
how do i change it on the 550d?
So if you want to change these settings during video recording, do you swap to "Manual" mode, change the settings, and then back to "Video" mode?
Great video by the way
@nightssky117 ah nvm i figured it out i didnt know there was a focus option like on the very end on the lens i thought that was just for the zoom tysm for all ur help.
@nightssky117 im using the default lense that comes with a canon t2i a 18-55mm lens and the lowest the f stop goes is 5.0 is the blurred background not possible with the default lense?
@specificlyvague. So what lens are you using start but steping back and zooming in if you are using a zoom if you have a marco prime the just get up close for all the above turn down you f stop as open as you can like 2.8 or lower so you can get a nice blured out background
can somone explain to me how to focus on a close object and blur the area around it?? example? portraits of people when you dont want the background in focus, ive played around with the f stop iso and shutter speed all together and the only thing ive gotten is everything in focus except whats up close and it just makes it darker or lighter which you kinda just have to tweak that but still how do i focus on close objects without auto focus?
@nightssky117 lol ok tyvm for the advice, any type of light in particular like a soft box?
@specificlyvague Yes in a way.. A low ISO means a picture with less Grain/Noise.. My advice for good images is to use good lights!
@nightssky117 yes i know less blur but it lowers the quality of the picture like he said and adds more grain correct? so is that to say if i have a tripod and the subject doesnt move i could set it lower and the picture gather more detail? ty for taking the time to reply
@specificlyvague Turn up your shutter speed for a bit less motion blur.
so you said that you get more grain in the picture at higher iso like 1600? but in lower ones like 100 you get alot of motion blur unless you dont move? is there a medium your suppose to go for?
@cat325ccr same here
@cpo2u Same way just turn on Video mode.
How do you do all this in VIDEO mode?
@urbanbonvivant No prob
@nightssky117
So, um, how can one adjust the ISO in video mode? I mean, I know that in manual mode there's the ISO, F-Stop settings and so forth, but everytime I switched the M mode to Video mode, and clicked the ISO button, the camera says something like "function is not available in this mode". Would you care to explain it to me on how to adjust not just ISO, but F-stop and shutter speed also but in video? Thanks in advance
never mind i just looked up that you ant have it on 1080p at 30fps
how do you change it in video, i know how to change it to manual but i can't figure out how to change anything but ISO
Thank you for the answer and informative video, thank you
I don't know if it's can use with T2i and 18-135 lens?
Where can I get this. And what's it called.
Get the MiniDV Stabilizer Pro from balvanz enterprises. similar price, waaaay steadier.
@Knoptop thanks. where do you live? I'm in Florida and nervse it will take a long time to get, but cannot find a used one for the life of me.
@supranick01 everything comes with the stablizer ready to mount a camera. (no extra parts needed)
Did you have to buy the adapter plate for the DSLR camera or you just bought the stablilizer its self?
Finally! Been researching and researching and have built a couple DIY off the web....your video was excellent and really showed how you were walking and what the steady shot looked like. Gonna purchase this stabilizer now with new T2i bought 2 days ago. Also have Sony FX7 and several Canon HD Cams with JAG35 adapter....this is perfect for the T2i.
That thing is sweeeeet. The smooth swooping effect is cool. Reminds me of Alan Parkers first use of the steadicam in the movie birdie to create the pov of a flying bird.
good camera assistants you have there! still like the video even with the swaying motiong would be good for a scary video
sorry english isnt my mother language. what do you mean by "screw to tighten adjusters " ...what i did it put alll the washers and adjust my camara to the top and try to balance it however i can`t get it to work propertly it just go too foward o too backward..to right or to left
@ForeverFire screw to tighten adjusters on the camera mount area and where the weights are, allow you to balance the camera. This camera setup is similar in wieght to the D90, I think.
how did you balance it? does T2 weight as much as d90?
lots of bouncing around, not to steady at all. sorry
you can easily build a very similar steadicam for roughly $40 worth of parts from your local hardware store.
holy crap that's swinging...
Reminds me of a song with T-Pain...
I'm on a BOAWT
@TheLipBChannel yep, it showed up about a week later.
did you purchase the steadicam from the actual hague website?
@TheLipBChannel Not quite sure of the exact weight, I used all of the 'fender washers' that came with my unit.
how much counterweight did you use?
@Knoptop Awesome, you got my sub!
@streetbattles919 yep, that was me. I got so many fx and prop ideas when preparing for that audition that i'll be featuring them here on my channel. stay tuned! Lots of fun stuff ahead!! thanks for watchin!
Hey didn't you submit a tryout video for the new host of Indy mogel!
Great video - very helpful. Can I ask where you bought it? I can't find it on amazon. Also, is this the same model that is advertised for small camcorders? (i.e the mini-motion cam stabilizer?)
@GalloPinz Depending on the lens (weight) you may need to get a few more fender washers for counter weight.
Great Demonstrations.....Do I need to buy an adittional accesory for this?
I´ve got a T2i as well....
