Im getting it just for the video...
@AllUnitedGeeks well on amazon this camera is availible for 600 dollars. However the fact that you asking for a 400 dollar version of this camera kinda tells me that you might not be ready for the DSLR field of cameras. just do a little more research and find out if you actually need a DSLR.
are there any ones that are mabey 400$ or less that are as good as this and are dslr?
@TheVidKidd same thing....just the screen is different. get the t2i
@Brenniman65 Yeah, no, it's not a better camera than the T3i. I work at a camera shop and I can tell you the specs are roughly equal. T3i adds a built in wireless flash trigger, and flip out lcd. Image quality on t3i is a bit superior as well.
@TheComputerGraphics around $700
@TheVidKidd you just answered your own question
how much does it cost today ?
@TheVidKidd that's the only difference lol
hey dude great review ,im really looking into buying this camera ,more so for the amzing vid quality
@TheVidKidd yes you should unless your taking video because the t3i has manual audio control
@TheVidKidd t2i is better over all, better image quality and depth. google t2i vs t3i there is a great website for it
@TheVidKidd I have the T2i myself and would actually recommend it over the T3i. I was speaking with a tech about it and he was actually telling me that the T2i is the better camera.
Do you think i should buy the t2i over the t3i for lower price range ? the flip out screen i don't need.
@KreativeStudios1 Married.
One of the other draws to a DSLR for video purposes is the fact that you can get a very shallow depth of field, which helps create that professional look it your shots. Gonna pick one of these up soon!
This..... annoys me.
can you do a contest for this camera !!!
or donate lol
@KreativeStudios1
Married, I believe.
Are you dating Chris Starr??? or Marrried? or friends???

awe man, this is such a beautiful camera. I have to get one of these. Thank you so much for this review, it helped me allot.
You are great to watch! Thank you for making such detailed, informative videos that are very worth watching! Awesome stuff!
good description on video ill get one of those to make better stop motions
Is the 50mm glass a standard EOS lens? Does the 16.x magnification apply?
does bg e8(batttery grip) make the camera more solid and balanced.?!the weight of 17-55 on my 550d is a little uncomfortable when shooting portraits.will this help?by the way it also seems like a pro dslr!
@JesseWilsonProduct The lenes are made of glass on both. The 1.8 is a cheaper build of plastic, and the mount is also plastic.
The 1.4 is slightly better glass, better build, and the lens mount is metal.
From my understanding the 50mm 1.8 is plastic. thats why its only 99$... the 50mm 1.4 is glass but 300$...
@SuperAstrophysicist The 50mm F1.8 is better glass. It's tack sharp. And being that it goes all the way to f1.8, it's wide open and great in low light.
I would agree with Doug, I would say that I am definately a brand person. When it comes to Canon, I buy everything canon.
Doug, I just purchased a Canon T2i 18-55mm Kit, what are the difference from the 50mm lens and the 18-55mm?
Hey Doug what are the best Lenses for video ?
@DizzyDougTV lol I just bought another Canon product that cost me $1200 lol so I feel like I need to make myself feel better ;D
@BuffoonCinema Look, congratulations on being happy with your purchases. Just as you are happy with yours, I am with mine. IMO. It was money well spent. I personally know of after market batteries leaking and ruining gear, and I am NOT going to take that risk. It's a personal preference, one that you nor anyone else should be knocking people who choose to use genuine Canon gear.
And, BTW... You can use any brand of generic or rechargeable batteries. I have done so with my 40D, T2i, 60D etc.
@itzJoePeezy Genuine Canon products come with a genuine warranty. Enough said!
@tommyraf Warranty and the piece of mind knowing it's a genuine Canon product. If anything happens, I'm taken care of.
@Made4DBZ33 Well said all around, my friend.
Battery grips are fantastic... with two canon batteries in it, you can shoot all day and not have to worry about your camera crapping out on power, and if it does, you can pop in 6 AA to keep it going. Also, to those hating on the price for authentic canon accessories, yea, you can get cheaper functional third party gear, but if you can afford it, its good to stick with the real thing.
Hey, what influenced you to buy all Canon products? I've been looking at buying an aftermarket battery grip (for 550D/T2i) and it looks great from reviews... Any views?
You can get the SAME accessories from Amazon made by a third party brand for less than a fraction of the price. The only thing Canon you should spend your money on is the lenses. The accessories are the same.
You paid a lot of extra money for Canon brand accessories. I have all the accessories you talk about in this video but all third-party and never had a problem with anything, including the $5 Chinese batteries. The cheapo batteries do not leak and I've had them for more than a year. I would only recommend Canon lenses before any other brand. Incidentally, you CANNOT use ANY brand of AA batteries (unless they're non rechargeable?) because the T2i requires so much power. Rechargeables don't work.
want to know the perfect lens hood for a 18-135mm lens that came with my t2i
The HDPVR on the intro was what got me subbed to DDTV
@DizzyDougTV I want a good lens for a T2i, great quality but also a good variety in zoom + good price... is that possible? and if so, which one?
@DizzyDougTV thank you =)
@shawnchon117 The 50mm F1.8 is a better sharper lens than the 18-55 kit lens. Yes.
@taylordanetriplett yeah i know...
yeah the kit lens, i just wanted to know if this glass looks better than the glass of the kit lens.
like if more light goes into it like some other lenses...
@shawnchon117 by stuck i mean you can't zoom in or out. Theres no "stock" but you might have gotten the lens kit, which usually comes with a 18-55. the 18-55 will get a picture at the exact distance as the 50mm but that 50mm will most likely be a sharper lens
@taylordanetriplett its stuck? =/ yeah im talking abou the stock one haha
@shawnchon117 the stock lens has a adjustable zoom... where this one is stuck at 50mm. I think by stock you mean the 18-55? thats what mine came with.
